Easel Game Editor

In this section, learn more about using the built-in Easel Game Editor to create and edit your games.

tip

You can access the Editor by clicking Launch Editor in the top right of this page.

Opening a project

You can launch the Easel Game Editor using the button in the top right corner of this page. Once you are in the Editor, you can create or load a project into the Editor using the following methods:

  • Click New Project to create a new project.
  • Click Open Project to open an existing project from your filesystem.
  • Choose a project from your list of published projects to open it.

Remixing an existing game

Found an Easel game you like? Remix it to create your own version! Find the Remix with Easel link in the bottom left hand corner of any Easel game to remix it. You can find Easel games on the Easel homepage.

Saving to your computer

How do you save your project and then load it again later?

Easel currently has two methods for saving and loading your project:

  • Editing a Folder on Your Computer: Edit a project directly on your computer's local filesystem. Every change you make is automatically saved to your disk immediately. Unfortunately, this method is only supported on Google Chrome at the moment.
  • Import and Export: Export a zip file of your project to your computer and import it again later.
